What Kind of Business Card I Have
I am a graphic designer, therefore, the card reflects design
How I Created My Business Card
I alway use Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator as a graphic designer, so I wanted to use them in the creation of my card as well.
The headshot of myself was manipulated in Photoshop to a BW posterized -cutout of me. I wanted to be designer-savy to represent myself well.
I placed the cut-out picture into the upper-right most corner to crop the photo tightly. The black created its own interesting shape and then opened up into the white.
The font was one that I found on the computer system that I was using at the time and I chose it because of its legibility. The color was teal, which is my son's favorite color and was dark enough to read well against the white background. I feel that it is a simple, clean design with enough impact to leave a positive impression upon potential clients.
What I'd Do Differently
- I included a 2009 calendar on the back side of the card- I would change this for obvious reasons- that it expires. But , however, the calendar is great for referencing and customers loved it.
