WindowsMy Review
The type and layout tools in Indesign are what keep me using it. It gives me control over everything. It's easy to find ways to adjust every little part of my page. And I can use variables and do all kinds of searches to make changes all through long documents.
I still use CS3 because as far as I can tell the upgrades are mostly for features that aren't things I'm needing. I don't use Flash or make interactive docusment and the type tools in this version do what I need so I'm not willing to pay as much as they want to upgrade and get features I'm not going to use.
How Does InDesign Compare to Other Software?
I have only ever used Microsoft Office before because the office had it where I used to work. I hated it. It had some fun stuff like Word Art but in Word and in Publisher you couldn't take full control of where objects go and couldn't adjust text precisely. Indesign lets me be in control.
