Setting and Using Tabs

If you work with lists of numbers such as dollar amounts, you've probably used decimal tabs. These special tabs know how to recognize the decimal (period) character and when found will automatically align the decimal at the tab stop. If no decimal is encountered, it acts like a right-aligned tab.
