Signature
The contact or signature of an ad may appear anywhere in the ad although it is usually near the bottom. It consists of one or more of:
- Logo
- Advertiser Name
- Address
- Phone Number
- Map or Driving Directions
- Web Site Address
Title Page(s)
As a minimum the title page of a book or manual would normally have the title of the book and the name of the author and illustrator. Other information may depend on the type of publication. Technical or software manuals may include more information on the specific products covered, safety notices, and warranties, while a book of poetry may have only copyright and publisher information.

Masthead
Found in newsletters and magazines, the masthead is that section of a publication, typically found on the second page of a newsletter (but could be on any page) and near the front of a magazine that lists the name of the publisher and other pertinent data. May include staff names, contributors, subscription information, addresses, logo, etc.
Bylines
The byline is a short phrase or paragraph that indicates the name of the author of an article in a newsletter, magazine, newspaper, or a book that consists of articles or chapters by more than one author. The byline commonly appears between the headline and start of the article, prefaced by the word "By" although it could also appear at the end of the article. It may be accompanied by a brief biographical sketch or promotional blurb.
Other Credits
Documents such as greeting cards, brochures, and catalogs have some form of credits or contact information. It may be as simple as a logo on the back of a greeting card or as detailed as complete addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, and contact names on a Web site.
