Your link suggestions are always welcome. Here is how to submit a link and the process for getting linked on this site. Please read this completely before submitting your link.
- Getting listed is not automatic or guaranteed.
- Commercial and personal Web sites are both welcome to submit links. However, most links to commercial sites will be to pages that provide information - not sales pitches. Sprinks and Classifieds are available if you have something to sell.
- While links back to this site are always welcome, they are not a prerequisite to being listed. I don't do "link exchanges" as such but will list your site if it is appropriate to this site.
- Links are not added on a first come/first serve basis. I add them randomly based on need and based on what subjects I'm working on at the time.
- Adding links can take anywhere from a few days to several months. (I do not have a staff. I handle all the link requests personally.) Repeated requests are ignored unless relevant new information is included. At present, there is no expedited service for URL submissions.
- In most cases links to the top of the site (home page) or splash pages are not accepted. Links should go directly to the relevant information/product/service.
- In most cases I do not link to a page that is merely a list of links. (Exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis but only rarely.)
- I will write the link title and annotation although you are welcome to suggest appropriate copy.
- Where appropriate, your link may appear in multiple categories.
- You may submit multiple URLs to different pages of your site.
- You may submit link suggestions for sites other than your own as well.
- You may suggest specific pages of this site where your link would be appropriate, but it is not required.
- You may submit URLs for information/products/services that don't fit any of the current categories on the site if you feel it is relevant to the Desktop Publishing audience. I am not opposed to creating new categories.
- You may also want to consider Sprinks links (paid advertising) for even greater exposure. The Sprinks listings have the potential to appear on every page of this site, in the site newsletter, and elsewhere (whether or not you are a paid advertiser has no effect whatsoever on your free listing submitted according to the criteria above). - Want to submit your link? Complete the URL Submission Form (below) You may suggest specific Subject pages for your link if you wish. That is optional.
- Warning: If I find that you have changed your URL structure and links show up as not found I usually just remove the link. I simply don't have time to go chasing down moved information most of the time. Feel free to re-submit your URL after such changes.
