Learn How to Write Greeting Cards

Monday July 28, 2008
I have plenty of material on this site about designing your own greeting cards. But occasionally I get inquiries from people wanting to create their own line of greeting cards to sell -- including the writing. Through a pointer from our Web Logs Guide Susan Gunelius I found a course on Writing Greeting Cards. The course is taught by Sandra Miller-Louden who is a long-time greeting card writer. And if you don't want to take her class, it seems she's also written some books on that and related topics, including a booklet titled 7 Steps To Take BEFORE Starting A Greeting Card Company. If anyone is familiar with the class or Sandra's books, let us know what you think of them.

Thank you for the link, Jacci. I’m sure Sandra’s class should be good. I teach a copywriting course through the same website (absoluteclasses.com), and usually only highly qualified instructors are accepted. I hope that helps!

I have been creating greeting cards and postcards for about 5 years. I learned that I was spending too much my time emailing clients, finding website to host and everything needed to run a business. I stopped and now I spend most of my time doing design work and use sites like supprint to sell
