From Chronos, iScrapbook supports both 8.5"x11" and 12"x12" formats or custom templates, offers direct access to your iPhoto albums, and comes with its own collection of 40,000+ photos and clip art images. Some of the photo editing and layout tools include cropping, brightness/contrast/sharpness controls, transparency, shadows, layers, masks, and one-click special effects. In 2007 MacUser gave it high marks for ease of use but was less pleased with some of the print options. Get a 30 day demo to try it out yourself. This is inexpensive photo editing software that lets you turn your photos into scrapbook pages as well as greeting cards, calendars, and other photo projects. Share the resulting pages online or print them out. Requires OS X 10.5 or above.

From ArcSoft, Print Creations software contains multiple templates including a basic scrapbook page design element with several layouts, photo editing tools, and print wizard. The software is a free download and then you purchase an activation code for each type of template you want to use. Other templates in the desktop software include greeting cards, photo calendars, and brochures.

For emailing your scrapbook design or posting to Facebook, it's a free service. Buy the premium version of the design and you can print it at home or save as a JPG. Or, purchase a club membership (monthly fee) for access to more designs, unlimited. Other Smilebox services include slideshows and greeting cards.
