The Windows Photo Gallery is similiar to a Windows Pictures folder but with many more options for viewing, navigation, and manipulation of photos and videos.
Windows Photo Gallery, a new tool in Windows Vista, helps you view, organize, and edit photos and videos no matter where the actual file is located on your computer. The Photo Gallery has many of the familiar features of a Windows Picture folder. It will look for pictures anywhere you tell it to look, provides multiple ways of looking at images, and has several image editing tools.
