Reproduction information for other countries is not easily found on the Web. In addition to the countries listed elsewhere in this article, here is information, not necessarily from official government sites, on other countries. Additional countries will be added as the information is found.

Germany

Comment found on a now defunct personal Web page:

"Legal restrictions governing the reproduction of banknotes: The pictures of every banknote on this page are printed according to the preconditions of the German Central Bank. The pictures of circulating banknotes have to be scanned in low resolution provided with an overprint of at least half the size of the banknote. These preconditions were adopted for the circulating banknotes of other countries, too."

India

RBI caution about reproduction of Currency Notes
September 29, 2000

It has come to the notice of the Reserve Bank of India that toys with the reproduction of bank notes of Rs.1, 2, 5 and 50 are being sold in the market. The Reserve Bank has cautioned the members of public that reproduction of bank notes and selling/possessing the toys/items looking like bank notes is an offence under the law. The Reserve Bank has advised the members of the public not to indulge in such activities.

Latvia

From the Bank of Latvia

"Bank of Latvia banknotes and coins can be used in advertising, illustrations, publications etc.; however, those preparing such reproductions must make sure that it is impossible to confuse them with real money. Such reproductions must be of a distinctly different size and/or be clearly marked 'sample' etc. The Bank of Latvia owns the copyright to the appearance of Latvian banknotes and coins and recommends that they be reproduced fairly and correctly."
