Using Pictures of Hong Kong Paper Money
Legally Using Illustrations of Paper Currency from Hong Kong

By Jacci Howard Bear, About.com

Reproduction of Hong Kong currency for advertising or other lawful purposes requires permission to do so. Whether you want to use a whole or simply a part of any Hong Kong banknotes you must request permission in writing from the Monetary Authority in advance.

In making your request do not include any examples using reproduced images of Hong Kong currency because you will be in violation of the law since you don't yet have permission to reproduce the image. Once permission is granted you may have to consult with other agencies to ensure that your desired use or representation does not violate any other copyrights or laws.
