Craft a creative calendar with one of these software programs for the Mac. Use templates and design wizards to design and print all kinds of calendars for personal, school, or business use.
1. Print Explosion Deluxe 3.0
Calendars are one of the many types of projects you can create with this software from Nova Development. Other projects include greeting cards, scrapbooks, and stationery. Includes thousands of graphics and hundreds of fonts in addition to all the templates. Version 3 is optimized for both PowerPC and Intel-based Macs.
2. The Print Shop for Mac Version 2
The newest version of The Print Shop for the Mac has better layout tools, more graphics and photos (19,500+), more special effects and includes thousands more projects (9500+) such as multi-page booklets. Like version 1 it integrates with your Mac apps such as iPhoto, iDVD, and iCal. Create calendars as well as greeting cards, newsletters, posters, and labels.
3. Pages '08 (iWork)
Part of the Apple iWork productivity suite, you could combine the spreadsheet (Numbers) component with the page layout portion (Pages) to create calendars. Also suitable for newsletters, booklets, fliers, and other page layout tasks. MacWorld has a few caveatas but does say "Pages ’08 is a great word processing and page layout program. For most individuals, it should be a perfect fit for day-to-day needs."
5. Scribus Open Source Desktop Publishing
This free software for MacOS and other platforms rivals the big guys in page layout software. Not full of the templates and clip art found in consumer packages, it's still a bargain (it's free) and fully capable of creating calendars and much more.
