Cutting or Modifying Paths and Frames with the Scissors Tool

In addition to cutting shapes, you can use the Scissors tool to cut or modify open paths.

If you cut a frame that has an image in it, the image contained in the frame won't split, but you will have a copy of the image in the frames you will get after having applied the Scissors tool.

Note: You cannot split text frames with the Scissors tool but you can use it to reshape a text frame.
