A Brief Look At What the Button Tool Does

The Button allows you to quickly create navigational buttons. It can create buttons which link you to other InDesign pages, Web pages, play movies and so on. For example, if you are designing a magazine which will be distributed in PDF format and you want to add two buttons at the bottom of each page so that your readers can go to the previous or the next page by clicking on the respective buttons, you'd use the Button tool for this.

You can make buttons out of any text or image, you can decide to print them in the final output or not, or you can hide buttons to view. This tool will be used more for interactive documents than for print design.
