Definition: Specially treated, calendered bond paper that readily reveals attempts to alter it through erasures or printing is termed safety paper. It may have an additive introduced during the papermaking process or a surface treatment after the paper is made that renders it less susceptible to alterations. Safety paper may include a fine printed pattern on the surface. It has a 17" x 22" basic size.
