Frequently misspelled or called simply Quark (the name of the publishing company), the proper spelling of the program is QuarkXPress, all one word, with the Q, X, and P in uppercase. QXP is the file extension for QuarkXPress files from version 6 to present. Earlier versions of the software used the extension QXD.

Common Misspellings: Quark Express | QuarkXpress | Quark Xpress | QuarkExpress
Examples:
In the late 80s and 90s Quark usurped the desktop publishing community's first love, PageMaker, with QuarkXPress. Once the undisputed king of desktop publishing software applications for both Mac and Windows users, Quark's premiere product - QuarkXPress - is still a powerhouse publishing platform despite strong competition from Adobe InDesign.
