You can take your computer-generated ATC a step further by created a mixed media card. What you do to the artwork is entirely up to you. Paint or draw in additional details. Add glitter or foil. Wrap the card in string. Glue on a feather. It's whatever you, the artist, wants to do.

The main focus of the illustrated card is a piece of artwork -- " Boy in a Bubble" -- created entirely on the computer using photographs, photo objects, and graphics software. Originally larger, it's been reduced to ATC size, printed on semi-gloss inkjet photo paper, cut out, then glued to a piece of card stock.

A piece of paper brushed over with gel medium is pressed briefly onto the card to give it texture. The brushstrokes in the gel create a kind of wood grain effect on part of the globe base. You can even see some of my fingerprints in the gel too. A rubber stamp with metallic ink is stamped around the perimeter. A few drops of glitter glue are added to some of the snowflakes.
