Makeover Project - Informal Wedding Invitation

By Jacci Howard Bear, About.com

Makeover Invitation

Makeover Wedding Invitation

Project Type:
Wedding Invitation
Purpose:
Sara and T.C. wish to invite friends and family to their wedding with simple, but elegant invitations that have a touch of tradition but are not strictly formal.
Original:
The original design idea echoes traditional formal invitations in its all script, centered layout.
Makeover Parameters:
Redesign this informal wedding invitation using the wording found in the original design but give it a new look that is still elegant but not necessarily the stiff, formal look of most traditional wedding invitations. The bride and groom are open to trying something different but don't want it to deviate too much from the norm.
Invitations will be engraved with a single ink color. Exact paper color and invitation size is undecided but to keep costs down it should be a readily available standard shape, size, and paper type used for invitations.
