Crop to Add Action, Interest, or Intrigue

Example: Cropping portions of background to accentuate foreground shapes

Before: It's a static photo of some buildings. After: The shapes of the sign and building make the photo more interesting.

By removing portions of the background, the image has fewer straight lines and the rounded shapes of the foreground building and sign become more prominent. The overall image is more dynamic.
