Lyla Bear is the daughter of About.com Guide Jacci Howard Bear.
Experience:
Lyla Bear, 18, was an Assistant Guide for About.com Austin from 2003 to 2008. Now she is transferring her skills in the "three R's" to researching, reporting, and 'riting for About.com Desktop Publishing. Lyla lives in Austin with her mother, step-father, twin sisters, two dogs and 9 cats. When not writing articles and taking pictures for the Austin, Texas or Desktop Publishing sites, Lyla enjoys reading, volunteering, scrapbooking, and outdoor activities such as geocaching, hiking and biking.
Education:
Formerly an honors student in the Austin Independent School District, Lyla graduated from her homeschool in 2009. Lyla starts college shortly after her 18th birthday.
