The tables on this page are a quick guide for the numbering of booklets or newsletters printed 4 pages per sheet of paper - 2 pages per side, then center stapled or saddle-stitched. The guides shown are for 8, 16, 24, 32, and 48 page double-sided booklets. The center spread is where 2 consecutive page numbers are printed side-by-side on the same sheet of paper.
TIP: The two page numbers that are imposed side-by-side always add up to 1 more than the total number of pages in the booklet. For example, in an 8-page booklet all pairs of pages add up to 9 [8+1,6+3].
