| Business Description | I do books and catalogs, for the most part. I also make web pages to accompany print materials. For my book clients (mostly small and self publishers) I also provide marketing advice and materials. I try to use the media which best suits the nitche and budget of the client. I'm looking hard at the new e-book methods and the potential for the publishing opportunities therein. I'm experimenting with the Adobe pdf concept and, so far, like it very much. |
| Tips/Advice | This is tough! I would advise anyone to read, read, and read some more! You can never learn too much. I don't recommend these one day and two day seminars that are out there. For the money spent on these "quick fix" programs, one can buy a nice library. Good reference materials, and good contacts, will be the best investment you can make. Your value lies in what you can do and not really in what courses you have taken or in what hardware or software you own. Good luck! |
