| Class Description | The class is Introduction to Desktop Publishing using Pagemaker. Most of my students take the class as part of their Information Technology degree or certificate. I teach at Porterville College, a 2 year community college in California. |
| Tips/Advice | I emphasize good design concepts as well as mastery of the software. From the very first class, students have to find publications in the "real world" and critique them using design principles we are learning. I have them do makeovers of publications as well as create their own designs. It seems to work well and keeps them interested in the subject at hand. |
