This tile (left) is the starting point for the images in this coordinated set of background graphics. It was created with the Terrazzo Filter in Corel Photo-Paint 7. Laurie McCanna has a Terrazzo Filter tutorial for Photo-Paint. The Boss filter gives the Home, and Arrow buttons their raised tile look.

Although you could use the original Ribbon tile as a full screen background there are some drawbacks. It creates a very busy background that makes text difficult to read.
You can make it more suitable as a background by lightening it. |

The Wide Backgrounds made with the Ribbon Tile put a vertical stripe down the left of your page. They are 1600 pixels wide. The extra wide width means that your vertical stripe on the left is likely to show up on the left side of the screen for folks viewing on large monitors at high resolutions. |
