Try all of these Options for using guides

By , About.com Guide

  • Go to View > Snap to Guides (Shift+F7) to make objects snap to the nearest guide.

  • Go to Edit > Preferences > Preferences > General pane to change the Snap Distance. A smaller value than the default of 6 pixels will allow you to make small adjustments to objects near the guide without having them snap to the guide.
