Matchprint

From Jacci Bear's Desktop Publishing Glossary, for About.com

Definition: One of the more expensive but more accurate types of prepress proofs is the Matchprint. Although used generically to refer to any laminate analog color proof system, Matchprint is actually a brandname of both analog and digital proofing systems. See Laminate Proofs for a description of the type of proof typically referred to as a Matchprint.
Also Known As: analog color proof | Cromalin | laminate proof
Examples: For 4-color process jobs a Matchprint or other laminate proof is highly recommended to check registration and color.
