Some printers have specific color days where they print all spot color jobs requiring certain common colors. Plan your project around those common color days.
If your print job requires special inks it can add to the time required to complete the job (ordering/mixing the ink, doing make-ready on the press) so let your printer know well in advance to avoid delays later.
