Find Out What File Formats Your Service Provider Can Accept

Before submitting a digital file for printing, confirm what file formats your service provider can accept. Some printers prefer application files but may not be able to accept files from all applications or all versions (some printers may be slow to upgrade to the latest version of your app).

In lieu of original application files, most printers can accept (and some prefer) PostScript or PDF files. In fact, PDF files are becoming so commonplace for prepress that it can be well worth your time to learn the ins and outs of doing PDF for digital prepress.
