Conserve Desktop Printing Paper

By Jacci Howard Bear, About.com

You can save on paper used in your desktop printer.
  • Print fewer proofs - Do as much of your initial proofing on-screen as possible
  • Use a lower quality paper for all but your final proofs
  • Reuse used paper - Print material "for your eyes only" on the back of initial proofs or other paper you'd normally toss in the recycling bin
  • Check and clean your desktop printer regularly to avoid paper jams that waste paper
  • Properly store your paper to avoid waste - keep it flat and dry
