The Bottom Line
It's a fancy script font with swooshes and swirls that is still quite readable. Alternate characters add variety and can enhance readability with some letter combinations.

Guide Review - Freebooter Script
This flowing script font connects the characters nicely. Even with the exaggerated ascenders and descenders, the text is still quite readable. Alternate characters add variety with ligatures for Th, ch, and ff as well as versions of B, P, o, and Q with less loops or shorter descenders. Having the alternate characters in a separate font file is less convenient but the font is not intended for extended text so it is acceptable. Freebooter Script would be a nice choice for wedding invitations and for use in logos, drop caps, and pull-quotes.
