How To View a PostScript Type 1 Font Sample in Windows

Quickly see a sample of your PostScript Type fonts or print font specimen sheets without any additional software and without opening Adobe Type Manager.

Time Required: NA
Here's How:
  1. Open the folder containing your fonts. Most installed Windows PostScript Type 1 fonts will be in the PSFONTS folder.
  2. Select a font.
  3. Right-click on the font and choose Open. A new window opens with information about the name of the font, file names, copyright, and a type specimen in sizes ranging from 10 point to 72 point.
  4. To print the sampler page choose Sample | Print from the menu. The printed sample page has additional sample text and includes the font at 8 points.
Tips:
  1. You can view and print samples by selecting either the PFB or the PFM files that come with Windows PostScript fonts.
