How Do I See Actual File Names in the Windows Fonts Folder?

By Jacci Howard Bear, About.com

Question: How Do I See Actual File Names in the Windows Fonts Folder?

By default, Windows shows the name of the installed fonts as it has been coded into the font file, such as Times New Roman or Arial Bold.

Answer: When you need to know the actual file name just select View | Details and you'll see Font Names in one column and the actual file name in another column.
