Create a Greeting Card - Class Introduction

This Create a Greeting Card class teaches some of the basics of desktop publishing while completing a simple project. Learn desktop publishing by learning how to create a greeting card. Along the way we'll discuss specific desktop publishing and design principles. In the end, hopefully, you'll have a better understanding of the design process and a nice set of lessons that teachers can adapt for the classroom, if necessary. And you'll know how to create a greeting card of your own for any occasion.

I originally used Microsoft Publisher 98 to do create a greeting card for these lessons, but you can adapt all lessons to the desktop publishing or greeting card software program of your choice. The focus of the class is on the design and layout of a greeting card along with font and image selection, no matter what software is ultimately used.
