Winning an award can be both an ego boost and a nice little addition to your resume/portfolio. If you're looking to flex your muscles and maybe get a bit of recognition to boot, browse these listings:

• American Design Awards (open to designers worldwide)
• HOW Design Competitions and Designer Contests (deadline looming for some of these)
• SEGD Global Design Awards (2013 deadline coming; for students)
