A recent email question asked for help in figuring out what to use to open a file with the AIR extension. That's an extension for Adobe AIR apps which can be opened by Adobe AIR and Adobe Flash. Additionally, some AIR files may be plain text files for animation associated with M.U.G.E.N. (a gaming program). For more details see:
- AIR file extension at fileinfo.com has a list of programs to use for Mac/Windows/Linux for the Adobe AIR files.
- File extension AIR at FileExtensions.org explains the use of AIR files for installing Adobe AIR applications.
For a list of common file extensions specifically for desktop publishing / page layout applications (such as InDesign, PagePlus, and QuarkXPress plus several lesser known programs see: Page Layout File Extensions.
