A few years ago I had to explain to my kids what Paul Simon was singing about. When my grandkids are a little older I'll probably have to explain what film was. Some of you reading this have probably never even loaded film in a camera. After almost three-quarters of a century Kodak is retiring KODACHROME Film. End of an era. It seems to me, that Kodak is putting all it’s eggs in the proverbial digital basket. When photography was born, Winsor & Newton didn’t decide to give up manufacturing paint. Slide film, Kodachrome especially, is just one more medium. Yes, I shoot a lot of digital images, but I still PREFER to shoot with slide film. Kodachrome, although a specialized process, still yields the best quality a slide can offer. It is a sad, sad day!
