My eyesight may not be as sharp as it was in my 20s but that doesn't mean I like reading any less. But I do hate straining my already strained eyeballs to read teeny tiny light-colored type on only slightly darker colored backgrounds.
Reversed type and contrast

While there are some who might say Reversed Type? Just Don't Do It, it has its uses. I'm not opposed to white or light text on a black or colored background. I just wish more people would heed these tips and guidelines for using reversed or knockout type. Such as "Use a larger, bolder font" and "Ensure that there is adequate contrast between the text and the background."
