School Handwriting Font Styles

Do you know the visual differences in D'Nealian, Getty-Dubay Italic, Zaner-Bloser, and other styles of handwriting taught in our schools? Do you cross your J, use a rounded W, or write your cursive Q so that it looks like a number 2? It probably stems from the style of writing you learned as a child.

Font designers may find these details interesting and it can help you understand some of the character differences in the fonts you use in your desktop publishing and graphic design projects.
