Adobe Creative Suite 2 Coming Soon

Are you ready for CS2? A brand new version of the Adobe Creative Suite begins shipping in May. Creative Suite 2 integrates new versions of Adobe InDesign CS2, Adobe Illustrator CS2, Adobe Photoshop CS2, Adobe GoLive CS2, Adobe InCopy CS2 along with Cue CS2 and Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Professional. With CS2 Adobe also introduces the new Adobe Bridge, a visual file browser, and Adobe Stock Photos, a one-stop resource for purchasing and managing stock imagery from Getty Images, Comstock Images, and others.


Also available as a standalone program, some Adobe InDesign CS2 highlights:

• Objects Styles allow designers to save graphic, text, and frame-level attributes for use and re-use that can be globally updated
• New InDesign snippets export lets users share or repurpose live InDesign content from part of a page
• Adobe Bridge provides multi-view file browsing and cross-product integration within CS2 software
• Adobe Bridge provides access to Adobe Stock Photos, a new stock photography service
• Selective display of layers and layer comps in Photoshop or layers in Adobe PDF
• Using anchored objects, users can associate callouts, pull quotes, margin notes, and graphics with specific text
• Drag-and-drop text, within or between frames
• Integration with Adobe InCopy CS2 enabled through the new InCopy LiveEdit workflow plug-ins allows one or more editors to work in parallel with a designer on an InDesign file more efficiently
• New XML import options make content reuse and layout automation easier
• New support for tagging tables
• Consistent PDF generation from InDesign CS2 and the other components of Creative Suite 2

Adobe Creative Suite for Mac OS X version 10.2.8 through 10.3.8, Java Runtime Environment 1.4.1, Microsoft® Windows® 2000 with Service Pack 4 or Windows XP with Service Pack 1 or 2, will begin shipping in May to customers in the United States and Canada, and will be available through Adobe Authorized Resellers and the Adobe Store at www.adobe.com/store . International versions are expected to begin shipping in late May and early June. Estimated street price for the Adobe Creative Suite 2 Premium Edition is US$1,199 and US$899 for Creative Suite 2 Standard Edition.
