CDs from the Desktop

Friday April 2, 2004
A few days ago I was talking about commercial printing methods for CDs. But some individuals and small businesses we need easy printing on CDs in small quantities or for personal use. A couple of printers caught my eye this evening. There are three models of Epson Stylus Photo Series inkjet printers (R200, R300, R300M) that print directly on ink jet printable CD/DVDs. And very affordable too, starting at $99 for the R200. Then there is the Verity Systems OptiPrinter CD & DVD Inkjet Printer specifically designed for printing photo-quality images on the surface of regular CD/DVDs as well as CD Business Cards and Mini Discs (but not paper).
